Our division is **experiencing hyper growth** and we are seeking experienced **Accounting Professionals** to join our dynamic team! **Responsibilities:** + Lead the Accounts Receivable function and manage a team of AR Specialists. + Develop and implement effective collection strategies to optimize cash flow. + Review and approve credit terms for both new and existing customers. + Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payments, and other irregularities. + Prepare regular reports on outstanding receivables and collection activities. + Address and resolve billing issues and customer disputes in a timely manner. + Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulations. + Collaborate with the accounting team to reconcile accounts and support monthly closings. + Maintain accurate records in line with company policies and audit standards. + Set clear objectives for the AR team that align with department goals. + Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc forecasting reports. + Monitor aging reports and enforce a structured follow-up and collection process. ​ **Skills & Qualifications:** **Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting or related field and a minimum of 4-6 years as an Accounts Receivable Manager or Supervisor.** + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English - this team primarily supports a U.S. customer base. + Demonstrated ability to create and enforce effective credit and collections policies. + High attention to detail and accuracy. + Strong leadership and team management skills. + Proficiency with advanced Excel formulas and reporting tools. + Comfort with processing and interpreting numerical data. + Authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship. **Why Join Verdant?** + Comprehensive Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, and Long-Term Disability package available on your first day of employment + Employee Assistance Program and Telemedicine + Paid Parental Leave + Full onsite gym + Hybrid Work Model - 2- 3 days in Office. + DCPP Retirement program with generous Matching option + Fully stocked kitchen with healthy snacks, soft drinks, coffee & regular corporate BBQ’s. + Flexibility with personal time off – we care about your health and family + Casual office wear, no suits needed! + Free Parking & Electric car chargers onsite + Opportunity for growth + A beautiful office that won the GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN + 171 & 215 Bus stops right outside the office + Beautiful neighborhood with numerous restaurants **Our Commitment to Our People** Across the globe, we are united by a singular Purpose: Sustainability is no small ambition.
