As SCM Systems Lead you will be responsible for developing and implementing procurement technology strategies that enhance operational efficiency, drive systems functional efficiency, and support the organization's overall SCM objectives. This role requires expertise in procurement applications, vendor selection, implementation planning, and emerging technologies to transform the SCM function digitally.
Your Role
Strategy Development and Vision
Partner to develop and articulate a comprehensive procurement technology vision and strategy aligned with organizational goals
Create roadmaps for digital transformation of procurement processes
Identify opportunities for technology-driven process improvements and system efficiency
Stay informed on procurement technology market trends and evolution
Vendor Selection and Management
Lead the evaluation and selection process for procurement application vendors
Develop RFPs and assessment criteria for SCM technology solutions
Conduct thorough market analysis to identify best-fit technologies
Establish systems functional performance metrics for selected vendors
Implementation Planning and Execution
Plan and coordinate the implementation of procurement technologies
Develop change management strategies to ensure successful adoption
Create project timelines, resource allocation plans, and risk mitigation strategies
Collaborate with IT, finance, and SCM business stakeholders throughout implementation
Technology Optimization
Accelerate time-to-value for technology investments through effective implementation strategies
Monitor and measure ROI of procurement technology solutions
Identify opportunities for system integration and optimization
Lead continuous improvement initiatives for procurement systems
Digital Transformation
Drive the digital transformation of procurement capabilities
Identify and evaluate emerging technologies for potential procurement applications
Develop business cases for new technology investments
Create frameworks for measuring digital maturity and progress
Your background
Strong understanding of procurement technology ecosystem including: Source-to-Pay (S2P) suites. Enterprise Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) solutions. Savings management tools. Intake tools. T&E applications, Procurement analytics platforms and Procurement orchestration tools
Deep understanding of procurement processes and best practices, Knowledge of change management methodologies, Project management expertise and Financial analysis skills for ROI calculation and business case development
Ability to lead cross-functional teams, Strong stakeholder management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication and Presentation skills for executive-level audiences
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, or related field; MBA preferred
5-8 years of experience in procurement, with at least 3 years focused on procurement technology
Demonstrated experience in technology implementation and digital transformation
Experience with major procurement technology platforms
