\nA Sales Manager in groups, meetings and events is responsible for maximization of revenue opportunities in the areas of group room reservations, meetings and events by driving sales acquisitions, maximizing business opportunities and increasing business conversions.
\nWhat will you be doing?
\nAs a Sales Manager in groups, meetings and events, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
\n\nEnsure all inquiries are responded to in a prompt and professional manner and updated in Delphi fdc system.\nRespond to all RFPs and guests’ enquiries in a timely and accurate manner.\nUpdate all business leads including lost business with reasons.\nAttends Group Review Meetings and works closely with revenue management team to communicate sales pick-up and wash factors. Ensures proper control of room inventory and maximize yield.\nManages the function space inventory diligently and assigns function space accordingly to guidelines set forth.\nMaintain accurate and updated database of contacts, group and meeting enquiries.\nWork with all stakeholders to ensure support for business conversion, including follow up on leads’ conversion with support from room sales team; work with business support and revenue team for optimised pricing strategy and support for exceptional service delivery from operations teams of Front Office, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage to deliver exemplary guests service.\nConduct sales visits, familiarisation groups, product presentations (including virtual sessions), site inspections and attend tradeshows to drive business acquisitions.\nProduce accurate and timely reports including but not limiting to sales calls reports, business leads status reports and post show/tradeshow event summary.\nPrepare proposals, engage in negotiations and confirmation of business through contracting.\nEngage proactively with group and event organisers during group stay dates or event dates and gather feedback post event or group check out.\nProvide guidance to guests for compliance with safe management measures, regulatory restrictions on groups and dining and support guests in relevant applications for groups, meetings or events when required.\nComply to brand standards including Hilton EventReady with CleanStay and maintain quality assurance with support for internal audits and handling mystery shopper calls.\nPrepare and lead discussions in Pre Conference Meeting, Group Resume and Banquet Event Order to all internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution of groups or events.\nContribute and participate in hotel organised sales activities including sales blitz and wedding shows and any other Hilton organised sales initiatives.\nParticipate in SCOUT, referral business leads program in Hilton Worldwide.\nEstablish good working relationships with internal stakeholders and external guests including event contractors and suppliers.\nAchieve and exceed sales targets as an individual and contribute to team’s revenue targets.\nSupport enrolment and revenue contribution from Hilton Honors.\nMaximize group room revenue and maintain accurate room blocks including group attrition.\nMaintain accurate and timely update of groups and event status to support forecast accuracy.\nComply to hotel’s credit policy and ensure full settlement of payments within agreed timeline as contracted.\nCarry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.\nThe Management reserves the right to make changes to this job description at its sole discretion and without advance notice.\nWhat are we looking for?
