The Safety Engineer position is part of Engineering Department, and consists globally in contributing to all safety related activities to ensure and demostrate that the safety objectives have been met, throughout the entire life cycle of the product/solution.
Responsibilities
• Ensure fundamental safety requirements are considered for solution element or component design and development by performing safety analyses (FHA, PSSA...)
• Contribute to formalization of allocated safety and reliability requirements(including assurance level) to solution elements or components, to their interfaces and their verification criteria,
• Contribute to elaboration of technical solution through safety rules, regulations and specific constraints,
• Ensure design, development and verification are correctly performed against safety and reliability requirements,
• Participate in solution integration and verifies that solution meets safety requirements by performing analyses such as FTA and FMEA
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
• Scientific Degree with at least 3 years’ experience
• Knowledge of Air Traffic Management domain (particularly Navigation and Surveillance) and related
technologies
• Hands-on experience with safety and reliability analysis techniques (FTA, FMEA...)
• Familiar with combinatorial and probabilistic analyses
• Fluency with English

• Working knowledge of system engineering, software and hardware processes
• Knowledge of aerospace domain system and safety assessment processes: ARP 4754B, ARP 4761A, EUROCONTROL SAM
• Knowledge of aerospace domain quality assurance processes for HW/SW: EUROCAE ED-109 / RTCA DO-278, EUROCAE ED-80 / RTCA DO-254
• Knowledge of reliability standards: MIL-HDBK-217F, ANSI VITA 5.1 reliability prediction, MIL-HDBK-472 maintainability
