Position Overview:

This leadership role assists the Global Process Owner in digital transformation, finance migration, process improvement, and other change programs. Responsibilities include implementing digital technologies and automation to improve Record to Report processes in terms of efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.

Seek candidate with tech skills in digital tools and change expertise. Collaborate with internal and external partners to meet Workstream goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the implementation of the enabling technology roadmap and solutions, improving the workstream’s use of AI/ML and RPAEnsure efficient use of new and existing systems, identifying enabling technology requirements and future improvementsEngage with business and technology partners to drive standardization and optimizationSupport the identification of new innovation opportunitiesLead the migration of end-to-end accounting processes to shared services, driving end-to-end efficient organization and process designCoordinate with globally distributed teams to achieve desired outcomesEnsure that projects are fully engaged with and resourced across the workstream and with leadershipInfluence key partners to achieve results on time and within plan, developing meaningful relationships within the company to complete assigned projectsCollaborate with collaborators and sponsors on reporting and meeting cadences – including leadership reports & presentationsResolve complex issues and lead critical path processes as it relates to project deliveryIdentify and manage risks, issues, actions, and decisions – take ownership of addressing critical issues and work towards finding mitigation strategiesAd-hoc project support in GPO organization

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, preferably business related.Project Management/Sigma/Kaizen certification desirableOver 5 years managing global programs, projects in process improvements, finance transitions, systems implementation, with 3-5 years in Shared Service structure.Corporate experience is preferred.Life Sciences, BioTech, or Pharma industry preferred.

Proficiency in English (verbal and written)Strong project management skills and capabilities (planning tools, defining deliverables, and baseline development)Demonstrated experience in successfully managing sophisticated, complex projectsAbility to work independently, within a team, and collaboratively across teamsCapable of balancing multiple deadlines simultaneouslyExcellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills across all levels of the organizationProven track record of following through on commitmentsGood planning, organizational, and time management skillsGreat business partner, able to work effectively with colleaguesAbility to take care of highly sensitive information in line with confidentiality expectationsFocuses on the big picture and can drill into the detail and understand the impact. Understands how the business works and the upstream and downstream activities that impact and are impacted by Finance or other rowsAbility to engage with, provide mentorship to, and quickly affect change across other teams/departments; ability to maintain collective motivation throughout the projectLeadership, negotiation, interpersonal and planning skills needed to support change and engage with GBS Senior Management, division management, and business unit partnersApply discernment to develop valuable connections with customers and present strategic viewpoints, aligning Finance and Groups within Thermo Fisher.Willingness to dive into details to find answers and solve problems when needed.
