Remanufacturing Plant Manager

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Have overall ownership of the operations and teams at the facility.Own all the facility KPIs regarding EHS, NPI, product quality, fulfilment, inventory, labor efficiency, Product cost vs standard, variable cost productivity and capital investments.Lead annual budgeting and cost center management of the facility.Own the strategy of the facility remanufacturing portfolio and product offering. Internal Repairs & External Outsourced Repairs.Manage with solid line reporting production, warehouse, materials, EHS and facilities teams at the plant, while leading dotted line local reman engineering and local quality functions.Drive the materials team at the facility & supply chain strategy, including Master Production planning, parts planning, excess inventory optimization and lead time reduction projects.Work in coordination with Reman NPI Engineering for new product introductions and ensure adherence to the NPI project schedule and management of change.Define Materials Planning strategy, ABC parts analysis, identify excess inventory and fulfillment risk areas and implement necessary action plans.Own Inventory control and accuracy, cycle counts & physical inventory execution, including financial reporting.Ensure compliance with all technical and quality requirements and fulfill customers' expectations (both internal and external)Interface and manage projects as necessary with marketing, sales, quality, sourcing and engineering teams.Identify local sources and projects to reduce supply lead times in Remanufacturing processes.Drive for excellence in the key areas of cost control, Environmental Health and Safety standards, LEAN and Quality, and overall productivityProvide effective team leadership to enhance cost effectiveness and create a lean, consistent and effective workforceHelp to identify local service opportunitiesMaintain compliance of GE policies and quality initiativesInterface with Customers regarding work in progress, service offerings, and other service-related activitiesMaintain positive and constructive employee relationsHave the overall facility P&L responsibilityAbility to travel as requiredPerform collateral duties as assigned to meet business needs as they relate to EHS, Quality, Integrity, etc.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or Business Management from an accredited university or college OR equivalent (10 years) of business experienceMinimum of 5 years of experience in operations, project management or product management experience including, technical aspects.Deep expertise in Wind remanufacturing processes
