We are seeking a seasoned _Reliability Engineer_ to join our **Water & Protection** business on a full-time, direct basis at our Yerkes facility in Buffalo, NY. This person will be expected to support Operations & Maintenance [O&M] initiatives to manufacture Tedlar PVF surface protection film products.
This person will be expected to perform Reliability & Equipment Engineering work in production, operations, and/or maintenance environments. This person will be expected to design & scale manufacturing processes, instruments / equipment, and tests for manufactured products with a quality-oriented focus; this involves planning, designing, and estimating time & costs as well as overseeing maintenance of structures, facilities, systems, and components. This person will also analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment & systems as well as causes of component failures. This person will be expected to develop and apply engineering standards & procedures as well as providing advice on issues within the Engineering field.
**PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Provide consulting on maintenance and reliability systems / equipment.
+ Perform improvement audits at plant sites, identify gaps in work practices, and help define the business value for improvements.
+ Perform technical consulting in various offerings such as root cause failure analysis, reliability-centered maintenance, uptime/upbase, and system preventative maintenance.
+ Interacts with plant/business stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors to accomplish business improvements.
+ Work independently with minimal guidance while also providing guidance to less-experienced team members.
+ Serve as an experienced Professional (and/or Supervisor) with in-depth knowledge in a technical / specialized area while completing complex tasks that involve interpretation of policies & best practices.
+ This person may supervise other employees while guiding & prioritizing the activities of others with a focus on task performance; this person would also be expected to recommend improvements for the delivery of specialized processes.
+ Interpret and apply organizational policies; this may involve recommending changes / improvements to specialized processes & procedures.
+ Maintain in-depth conceptual & practical knowledge in your own job discipline as well as advanced knowledge of related job disciplines.
+ Maintain advanced understanding of best practices and how your own area integrates with others; this person is expected to be aware of the competition as well as differentiators in the market.
+ Maintain a detailed understanding of market, function, processes, and policies.
+ Impact a range of customer, operational, project, and/or service activities (within your own team as well as other related teams).
+ Display independent judgment and evaluation skills (depending on assignments).
+ Solve complex problems; this involves taking new perspective(s) on existing solutions and exercising judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
+ Additional duties may be assigned, as needed.
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
Basic Requirements:
+ Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-oriented field of study.
+ 5+ years of professional experience working in Operations, Maintenance, and/or Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Deep expertise with industrial manufacturing operations (preferably with process manufacturing environments).
+ Deep expertise with Manufacturing Technology and Process Safety Management [PSM]; experience with MIQA (Mechanical Integrity & Quality Assurance) is a plus!
+ Advanced expertise with industrial maintenance and equipment engineering best practices (e.g.: Preventative Maintenance; Predictive Maintenance; Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul [MRO] asset management, etc.).
+ Advanced understanding of the hazardous characteristics & environmental aspects of industrial chemicals, services, and equipment.
+ Exposure to process engineering, especially with utilizing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams [P&ID’s].
+ Advanced troubleshooting skills, especially with Root-Cause Analysis.
+ Proficiency with relevant computer programs (e.g.: SAP, MS-Office, etc.).
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and lead development efforts.
+ Proven ability to display excellent organizational and project management skills.
+ Excellent interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent communication skills (written & verbal).

The Pay range for this role is $94,920.00 - $149,160.00 Annual
