**Who we are**
By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.

**What you'll be doing**
+ Implementing Release Management strategy, processes, policies, and methods, ensuring they are applied effectively.
+ Applying ITIL principles and disciplines to streamline the release management process.
+ Managing the complete Release Management lifecycle, ensuring minimal disruption to production environments.
+ Receiving and processing release requests, prioritizing based on importance, impact, and complexity.
+ Assessing risk and technical impact associated with changes, working closely with Scrum Masters to ensure resolution by the appropriate teams.
+ Planning, coordinating, and prioritizing releases, tracking and reporting fulfillment.
+ Participating in review boards to assess the success of releases and identify improvement opportunities.
+ Reporting on release metrics, including volume, types, and failure rates.
+ Developing Deployment Plans, creating strategies, timelines, and checklists for smooth execution.
+ Maintaining configuration consistency across environments through version control and tracking.
+ Utilizing deployment automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Azure DevOps) to streamline processes.
+ Defining and testing rollback procedures to mitigate deployment failures.
+ Ensuring post-deployment system monitoring to detect and resolve issues early.
+ Coordinating with support teams to resolve post-deployment problems efficiently.
**What you'll bring along**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role.
+ Extensive experience in change control and release management in IT service environments.
+ Strong ITIL knowledge (certification preferred).
+ Experience analyzing processes and recommending improvements.
+ Familiarity with IT infrastructure (a plus).
+ Strong analytical and reasoning skills to assess risks and technical impacts.
+ Ability to establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
+ Proactive, detail-oriented approach, ensuring quality in release management processes.
+ Excellent command of both spoken and written English (any other European language would be a plus).
