Regional Team Lead, Plastics Recycling, Americas

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Collate, model, interpret and analyze data, explain variances and trends in the plastics recycling sector. Develop deep understanding of recycling market drivers and contribute to the production of written analysis explaining and predicting market developments. Perform fundamental data research relevant to the plastics recycling value chain. Perform effective maintenance and regular updating of key data sets. Idea generation for expansion in this sector. Identify enhancements to data generation, analysis and modelling. Engage with the industry and clients through event/conference attendance, client engagement and other marketing activities. External presentation of the team’s analysis and representation of ICIS at related events. Broaden and add further detail to our coverage of our plastic recycling data sets. Managerial responsibilities for Americas recycling analysts: develop objectives and assign responsibilities across the team members, support individual career development plans, assess and deliver feedback on team and individual performance, address any issues arising in the above areas to resolve or improve performances and required outputs of the team. Supervise professionals. Perform other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability Management, Chemical Engineering, or a related field required.4 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required.Also required is: 4 years of experience: processing and analyzing large datasets to uncover trends and patterns; developing, automating, and maintaining advanced analytics tools and dashboards using technologies such as Python, Pandas, and NumPy; leveraging data visualization platforms like Tableau, Power BI, and Infogram to effectively communicate insights to various audiences; conveying complex data insights in a way that is accessible to non-technical audiences; collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensuring alignment between data insights and broader business market views; managing projects from inception through completion, including overseeing planning, scoping, resource allocation, and delivery; gathering hard-to-find data, building networks of industry contacts, and maintaining databases of research sources; analyzing market trends, tracking competitor activities, and integrating external data insights into analyses will further enrich the accuracy and relevance of findings; using Python, Pandas, and NumPy, alongside proficiency in VBA and Microsoft Excel to clean, preprocess, and analyze data from various sources; and creating automated workflows to facilitate reporting and data processing.Employee reports to LNRS Data Services, Inc. office in Houston, TX, but may telecommute from any location within the U.S.Experience can be concurrent.
