DescriptionJob overview and responsibilities:The Ramp Service Employee (RSE) is responsible for processing baggage, boxes, and/or cargo between baggage/cargo areas in the airport facilities and aircraft, as well as receiving and dispatching aircraft. We pride ourselves in being an on-time airline and are seeking dedicated individuals that understand a deadline-driven environment while maintaining high quality standards of operational safety and customer service. Lift baggage, boxes or cargo weighing up to 32 kgs when loading/unloading aircraft, carts and containers using scanning device Loading/unloading may require lifting over 100 items for a single aircraftPush/pull loaded and empty carts and containers during loading/unloading operationsCouple/uncouple carts and/or cargo container dolliesAscent/descend jet-way stairs while carrying baggageBend/stoop and crawl to move and stack/unstack cargo in aircraft and containersStand for up to 4 hours in all weather conditions to upload or unload cargo and direct trafficWalk continuously to load/unload cargo from pallets, containers, carts or conveyer beltsComplete safety checklists for motorized equipmentDrive and operate motorized equipment (e.g., conveyor belt, de-icing truck etc.)Read and interpret aircraft load sheets, checked baggage tags and cargo labelsOperate a computer to enter and retrieve dataCount baggage/cargo being uploaded/unloaded during operationsOperate portable radio, headphones and other mobile devicesConnect hoses to aircraftUse signaling devices to communicate with co-workers and flight crewsLoad plan liaison with the Corporate Support Center and Cargo divisionGround Service Equipment (GSE) management and inventory control of cabin provisioning itemsEnsure compliance with United and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and policiesOther duties as assigned

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education requiredMust be at least 18 years oldMust holda valid driver's license and a proven driving recordMust pass a background checkMust be eligible to obtain and maintain credentials necessary for the positionMust be able to pass a pre-placement hearing and vision testMust be able to work during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational needMust be able to work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditionsMust be legally authorized to work in Japan for any employer without sponsorshipMust have a good command of Japanese (at least N3 level of the JLPT) Change of work location may be required based on operational needsSuccessful completion of the interview is required to meet the job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionPreferred
