Position DescriptionThe Quality Technician will support operations through processes and equipment to protect operators, ensure compliance to regulating authorities, meeting engineering specifications, and protecting our customers.

Soldering/Quality Technician

Performs electronic assembly/rework operations working with a variety of printed circuit boards.Performs printed circuit assembly/inspection per method sheets required during 2nd assembly operation.Performs any post assembly, serializing, special component insertionPerform rework and modify thru-hole and SMT electronic circuitry when requiredPerform No Clean, lead and lead-free solder operations as neededMaintain clean and orderly work area.Assist in other qualified areas as assigned.Train others as needed.Follow safety proceduresAbility to follow written and oral instructionsAbility to meet short- and long-term deadlines.Effectively meet the needs of internal and external customersAbility to work regularly and dependablyAbility to function and thrive in a team environmentDemonstrate ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperament with internal and external customers.Demonstrate ability to perform mental tasks such as making decisions, learning, thinking rationally and exercising good judgment.Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Skills

 

High School diploma or GED required plus two years experience in Electronics. College Diploma preferred.Certified in J10 Standard and IPC 610.Required to take onsite soldering test.Read and work from manufacturing documentation with a minimum amount of supervision.Working knowledge of all necessary tools and equipmentHigh energy level, quick learner, and highly flexiblePositive attitude.Ability to effectively communicate with others both written and orally.Mobility within the work facility.Ability to use hand tools with dexterity.Frequent lifting up to 35 pounds
