Job Characteristics: Follows quality control guidelines and procedures to ensure that raw materials and finished goods comply with engineering and product specifications. Leads and coaches technicians in conducting quality assurance tests to ensure that products meet established specifications.

Education/Work Experience: Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering. Two to five years of work experience.

Independence level/Reports to: Authority to approve/reject incoming raw materials/package supplies and in-process and finished product. Authority to place product on hold for quality deficiencies. Train, direct, lead, and motivate QC staff to analyze raw materials and finished goods in conformance to specifications. Normally reports to Production or Quality Manager.
