Your Role at Delta Faucet

The Quality Group Leader plays a key role in leading the shift-based quality team and building strong cross-functional relationships. This role blends daily floor support with ownership of audits, control plans, and supplier issues. Success in this role requires more than just technical know-how. The ideal candidate can balance quality standards with operational impact, think through the broader consequences of decisions, and collaborate closely with Production Group Leaders to align on practical, sustainable solutions. This position requires a flexible schedule with leadership presence across all three shifts and occasional weekend support based on operational needs. This role will have oversight of quality team leaders and auditors.

Key Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

Leadership & Team Support - Lead and support Quality Team Leaders and Auditors on all shifts, setting priorities and ensuring consistent execution. Foster a culture of transparency, respect, and accountability. Handle challenges professionally while strengthening problem-solving and collaboration within the team.

Technical Quality System Execution - Maintain control plans and quality alerts with Engineering. Approve PPAP documentation for product and process changes. Manage Supplier NCM tracking, SCARs, and follow-ups. Support MRB processes and ensure proper deviation documentation. Assist in developing a compliant quality management system.

Daily Floor Presence - Collaborate with Production Group Leaders to align disposition decisions and ensure effective containment. Make strategic choices that consider operational flow, resources, and overall business impact. Provide guidance to Team Leaders and Auditors on inspection standards. Drive engagement in 5S, standard work adherence, and quality checks.

Continuous Improvement - Drive plant-wide problem-solving efforts using 5Why, A3, and RCCM methodologies to identify recurring quality issues and recommend process improvements with CI and Engineering teams. Engage quality team members in root cause analysis and corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency. Support the sustainment of improvements in standard work, visual controls, and quality checkpoints while collaborating with CI Technicians to optimize layered audits, First Pass Yield (FPY), and Quality Hold metrics. Reporting, Communication & Daily Management - Communicate quality issues, data, and follow-up actions across all shifts while maintaining accurate Tier metrics (FPY, NCMs, audit findings, etc.), and providing updates in Tier 2 and Tier 3 reviews. Support Tier 1 by working with floor personnel to review concerns, reinforce expectations, and ensure key metrics are understood and acted upon. Collaborate with Team Leaders to follow up on action items and reinforce accountability for daily quality metrics. Assist in visual tracking, chart maintenance, and goal alignment to keep metrics clear and actionable at the floor level.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is required; Associates degree or higher is preferred.A minimum of three years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment is required.Previous leadership experience, such as serving as a Team Lead or Supervisor, is preferred.American Society for Quality certifications preferred (CQI).Strong proficiency in PPAP, control plans, quality compliance standards, and root cause analysis tools is essential.Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills are required.The role demands the ability to balance technical system work with team managementProficient using Microsoft Office and ERP systems (SAP experience preferred)Maintain a structured weekly schedule to ensure leadership visibility and engagement across all three shifts.Work weekends as required based on operational needs or quality escalations
