Job DescriptionWork Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Wentzville, Missouri Assembly Center on a full-time basis.

The Role

The Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, testing, and creating quality solutions for medium level changes. Defect analysis resolution and verification for vehicle subsystem quality, and performs design reviews.

Develop Quality related skills, Red X certification, GMS compliance, Built In Quality skills assessment completion, and professional society certificationsSupport a cross-training plan for Quality Engineers to meet plant, Quality, SQ objectivesComplete Suggestion Plan Requirements and complete analysis of incoming Suggestions

 
Quality

Develop and Maintain Product Quality Standards for assigned commoditiesDevelop and Implement a Standardized Work Task ListChampion assigned commodity Voice Of Customer issuesParticipate in the Change Management ProcessIssue and maintain Supplier Practical Problem Solving items for identified Supplier Quality issuesCommunicate Emerging Issues Summary for Responsible ComponentsSupport Supplier Quality Yard Sweeps and develop inspection method and standardsCoordinate Repair, Rework and Containment Activities for Identified SpillsRequest Temporary Work Orders from Engineers as required to support AssemblySupport the PTR Process, documenting Product concerns and providing Pass/Fail feedback.  Material/Prod Control Facilitate, QE ME and PCC jointly support PTR activityLiaison between engineering, supplier, and manufacturing to ensure quality and reliabilityIdentifies and continually improves on processes and proceduresVoice of the customer within manufacturing process

 
Responsiveness

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree

1+ years of manufacturing experience

Highly developed oral and written communications skills

High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult

High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others

Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area required

Knowledge of manufacturing processes

Managerial Courage

Strong decision-making ability

Ability to build effective teams

 

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

Degree in engineering or technical discipline

2+ years manufacturing experience

2+ years product engineering experience

Team Management experience

Red X Technical Problem Solving Journeyman or higher certification

Body Dimensional, GD&T, and Part Data Analysis capability
