**Who we are** By joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud. This purposeful project will not only give you the opportunity to have an impact on one of the key topics within the European Union, it will also offer you various professional opportunities, let you experience a collaborative environment, using cutting-edge technologies and experiencing diversity in your everyday professional life. **What you’ll be doing** + Continuously assess and enhance existing processes to optimise efficiency and effectiveness + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, implement corrective actions, and monitor the impact on overall quality + Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in IT processes and systems + Develop risk mitigation strategies and work with project teams to integrate risk management into the project life cycle + Define/Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics to measure the success of IT projects + Generate regular reports for management, highlighting quality trends, issues, and improvement opportunities + Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with TAXUD policies, EC/industry standards, and regulatory requirements + Collaborate with internal and external auditors to address findings and implement corrective actions + Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the awareness of quality standards and best practices among IT teams + Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organisation + Evaluate and monitor the quality of deliverables from other service providers **What You’ll Bring Along** + Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field + Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role + Deep understanding of business needs and expectations + Proven experience in quality assurance methodologies, processes, and tools. + Certification in quality management (e.g. Six Sigma) + Project Management Skills:Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive quality initiatives within project timelines + Analytical and problem-solving skills + Exceptional analytical skills to identify and address quality issues + Ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions + Excellent communication skills to articulate quality requirements and issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders + Collaborative approach to work effectively with diverse teams + Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards in IT (e.g., ISO 9001, CMMI, GDPR) + Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies + Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the highest standards of quality in IT deliverables + Leadership skills to inspire and guide a team toward achieving quality objectives + Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure, and navigate through ambiguity **What’s in it for you** ✔ New beginnings can be a challenge.
