Your role and responsibilitiesYou will be part of a small group with us at ABB in Malmö. Where your broad and deep testing and electronics experience is crucial. We test and check, in the smallest detail, the hardware of our control systems against the electronics standard (ICP-A-610/600). Your work is to read drawings and instructions together with the team to under-stand the quality expectations of the product. To then test the hardware in our test systems. We check products using appropriate methods in our lab. Such as visual inspection of electronics assembly, mechanics and test functionality, com-parison against specifications, etc. Reporting of test results and deviations in our quality systems Jira and Wats. Our group's services are needed for product approvals. These are tests in the event of a change of supplier, manufacturer or otherwise changes to the manufacturing process. Our group performs the tests and then reports the results back to ABB R&D, which acts on the points we document in our test reports. Our group is part of ABB's global quality and testing team. In Malmö we are 8 people but we are 12 in total globally who are part of the group. We have a lot of ongoing projects so we need to expand our group with one more person, is that you?
Qualifications for the roleYou must have at least 10 years of experience as a test technician, quality inspector or similar in the electronics industry. Experience and especially in testing and working towards the electronics standards IPC-A-600 and IPC-A-610 is a requirement. You should simply have a solid knowledge of electronics testing and quality control standards. Spoken and written English is essential with your international contacts both internally within ABB and externally with suppliers. An eye for detail, accuracy and responsibility are key words in this work. It is important to be able to have full focus on the details and take deviations further for evaluation.
