Join us! **Job Description:** This job is responsible for analyzing current and emerging issues and producing risk-based insights in support of Bank of America’s strategic priorities. Key responsibilities include developing policy recommendations that inform and guide internal discussions around global challenges. Job expectations include coordinating with key internal stakeholders on important policy issues and supporting the Government Relations teams in building and maintaining relationships with public officials, trade associations and other industry-based organizations. The Policy Analysis & Insights Group serves as a policy clearinghouse that identifies, monitors, and analyzes current and emerging international, federal, and state issues to produce sound, coherent, risk-based systematic analysis, insights, and reporting in support of Bank of America’s policy positions, advocacy, and strategic priorities, working closely with our lines of business, Corporate Social Responsibility, and other partners. The Group’s primary responsibilities includes: + Supporting the work of the Federal Public Policy, State Government Relations, and International Policy teams in building long-term, sustainable relationships with influencers and grass-roots communities to reach mutually-beneficial outcomes on behalf of our stakeholders and Bank of America. + Supporting company leaders across the various lines of business and local market leaders in articulating policy positions and issuing analysis when engaging with external stakeholders, community leaders, influencers, and senior public officials. + Creating sound, data-driven policy recommendations and solutions that support our dual mandate to drive Responsible Growth by delivering for all of our stakeholders, including our clients, employees, and communities. We seek a Policy Analysis & Insights Manager who will identify emerging issues and evaluate the potential impact to the enterprise. The role entails a broad awareness of the company, all lines of business and capabilities, and all the elements of Responsible Growth, focusing on geopolitical matters but a willingness to take on other topics as needed. **Responsibilities:** + Supports the work of the Federal Public Policy and State Government Relations teams in building long-term, sustainable relationships with influencers and grass-roots communities to reach mutually beneficial outcomes on behalf of our stakeholders and Bank of America + Supports company leaders across the various lines of business and local market leaders in articulating policy positions and issuing analysis when engaging with external stakeholders, community leaders, influencers, and senior public officials + Develops policy frameworks and recommendations that will inform and guide policy debates through evidence-based research and sustained stakeholder engagement to respond to and address socioeconomic and environmental challenges + Creates sound, data-driven policy recommendations and solutions that support our dual mandate to drive responsible growth by delivering for all of our stakeholders, including our clients, employees, and communities to address important societal priorities + Serve as a primary driver of in-house policy analysis capability to explain, educate, and inform the company’s most senior leaders about the U.S. policy and geopolitical environment around them so they can make informed business decisions and engage policymakers, regulators, and others. + Produce a tailored suite of analytic products — from serial reports and short ad hoc memos to longer studies and PowerPoint presentations — to deliver analysis to varied audiences in their preferred formats, emphasizing readability, digestibility, and conciseness.Opportunity to gain further expertise in specific policy matters through attending meetings, monitoring hearings, and completing projects that are integral to further Bank of America’s position. + Research, interpret, and analyze — through the lens of the company — a broad range of U.S. and international geopolitical issues ranging from financial, economic, regulatory, and climate (among others), and assess how broad geopolitical trends impact the company, private sector, and the U.S. + Maintain deep expertise on the policies, personnel, and legislative and regulatory priorities of the U.S. administration, Congress, key executive branch and independent agencies, and trade and activist groups, and gauge how these resonate domestically and abroad. + Produce issue analysis that includes fact-based view of the issue, material impacts to our business, a representation of the views of the business, advocates, and public policy officials on the issue, including any client impact, employee impact, and competitor analysis. + Periodically produce profiles and other background materials on public officials for management team. + Develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior executives across the company to keep them informed and incorporate their point of view and feedback. + Capacity to work in a high-performance professional environment, with quick turn-around and changing priorities.Comfort with uncertainty and an entrepreneurial working context; flexibility to take on new responsibilities as the role evolves. + Responsible for knowledge of significant legislation and other emerging policy issues relevant to the bank and the financial services industry. **Skills:** + Business Intelligence + Data and Trend Analysis + Issue Management + Research + Research Analysis + Advisory + Collaboration + Interpret Relevant Laws, Rules, and Regulations + Regulatory Compliance + Reporting + Business Acumen + Process Management + Regulatory Relations + Scenario Planning and Analysis + Strategic Thinking + Government Relations + Advocacy Strategies + Strategic Counsel for Management + Leading Initiatives + Risk Management + Corporate Communications + Group Presentations + Policy Analysis **Required Qualifications:** + _Writing and Research_ .
