JOB FUNCTION: The Certification (Loads) engineer after successful employment will work under the supervision of the global certification team and support local and global projects. He/she will essentially do organization, implementation and evaluation loads to determine loads compliance on onshore and offshore wind turbines, in particular on load calculation and simulation. Further, the engineer will be responsible for independent execution and timely completion of projects by analyzing project scope and determining project specifications, coordinating with clients and project manager during the course of the project and preparing evaluation report for clients. Further he/she will support our team for the certification of control and safety systems, state of art and innovative wind turbine designs. Aero-elastic calculations, structural dynamics, vibration and dynamic controls will be one technical aspects of the role. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: + Communication with business partners and customer relationship management + Project Management and co-ordination, execution and the customer communication + Collaborate and cooperate with the global team + Technical review of the documentation from clients + Evaluation of wind turbine load assumptions according to related standard + Verification of wind turbine load assumptions and deliverables + Integration of continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job + Optimization of work process Additional Responsibilities: + Participation in an internationally operating team and providing required support in day to day activities + Communication with business partners at home and abroad + Support other certification work in the team HIRE-IN + Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, mechanical or dynamic systems or any equivalent field + Minimum 5 years of experience in the area of wind turbine load simulation and experience with the use of the common IEC standards for wind turbines + Excellent experience on commercialized numerical simulation tools, like Flex5, Bladed or Samcef + Excellent organizational and time management skills + Experience in the continuous development of work processes (Lean Six Sigma) is desirable + Hands-on experience in project management + Customer focus, commitment and independent work + Good communication skills (English speaking and writing) + Willingness to travel (within China and outside the country) A global leader in applied safety science, UL Solutions (NYSE: ULS) transforms safety, security and sustainability challenges into opportunities for customers in more than 110 countries.
