Within the Naval Engineering cluster, the Applications department is responsible for the development of Combat & Information Management Systems for naval vessels and their integration with sensor and weapon systems. These complex systems incorporate advanced solutions in the areas of information processing, information management, user interaction, and sensor and weapon control. Our software thus provides essential support for missions ranging from anti-piracy operations to defense against long-range missiles.

ABOUT THE JOB
As a Product Owner, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that designs, develops, and validates Command & Control system applications. As a Product Owner, you will be the link between the customer and their requirements, the product roadmap, the product system architecture, and the Agile/Scrum software development team. The Product Owner also manages the Product Backlog of the Command & Control system application(s) to be developed and directs the respective Agile/Scrum team(s). Activities include discussing operational requirements with the (internal) customer, designing the functional operation of the product or component, and presenting the final solution.
ABOUT YOU
Do you have a passion for technology and find it exciting to work on high-tech Naval Command & Control systems? Then you are the person we are looking for. You are characterized as driven, result-oriented, and proactive, and you are highly focused on achieving results through effective collaboration.
• You have completed an HBO or WO degree in the field of Computer Science or Computer Engineering, with preferably several years of experience in a System Engineering role.
• You have knowledge and experience with Scrum and Agile principles, and you have an affinity for project management.
• You possess strong communication skills and have experience in leading, facilitating, motivating, and coaching multidisciplinary Agile/Scrum teams.
• You are capable of creating a good working relationship between various stakeholders, such as the Project and Product Manager.
• You can translate operational product requirements into a functional design for a product or component.
A good command of both written and spoken Dutch and English is essential for successful job performance.
