About the role
We are seeking a talented Product Development Engineer to join our local engineering team. In this role, you will:
Lead the development of innovative new products from customer engagement to commercialisation.Solve technical challenges and implement product improvements across our existing portfolio.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, sourcing, and manufacturing, to deliver robust and manufacturable product designs.Design and test prototypes, conduct material reviews, and optimise designs for cost and performance.Drive engineering excellence by introducing creative solutions, improving processes, and staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and market standards.Our diverse and technically advanced product ranges adhere to strict quality and industry standards, ensuring we remain a leader in the market. You will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and delivering exceptional solutions to our customers.
What you will bring
Experience: Proven experience in product development and design engineering, ideally working with intricate mechanisms and manufacturing processes.Technical Expertise: Proficiency in 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks), and working knowledge of DFMEA, DVP, PPAP, tolerance analysis, and other product development tools.Problem-Solving Skills: Strong technical problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis and creative approaches to product challenges.Project Management: Ability to plan, prioritise, and execute projects efficiently, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying ideas and concepts clearly and effectively.Educational Background: Relevant engineering qualifications aligned with product development.What’s in it for you
