Job Description

As our Procurement Specialist at OTTO By Rockwell Automation, you will work among our fantastic Supply Chain/Operations Team within OTTO By Rockwell Automation, Rockwell's Industrial division. You will wear many hats, work with every department in our company, and be around the coolest robots you can imagine. You will report to Supply Chain Manager. You will work Hybrid in Kitchener, ON.

Your primary responsibilities will be:

Find ways to reduce costs to produce robotsFunctionally purchase materialsNegotiate with supply partners to give OTTO fair and optimal pricingManage OTTO supplier relationships and facilitate technical contact with suppliersSolidify and document standardized procurement processesConduct local on-site supplier audits; other travel may be involvedWork with other departments to improve inter-departmental cooperation and effectivenessBuild accurate material costing knowledge baseManage the supply partnerships within our supply chainHelp bring resolution to supplier quality, finance, engineering issuesAct as liaison between the engineering, quality, and finance department and suppliersAid in DFP (Design For Procurement) improvement initiativesAct upon incoming quote requestsIdentify and manage supply risks early to minimize/eliminate impact to productionProcess ECO/ECN, RFQ, NCR's

The Essentials - You Will Have:Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience.Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:2 or more years of related experience.Passionate about making people happy through exceptional servicePreferred purchasing experience in procurement or supply chain roles in automotive/OEM industry.Experience with strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and negotiating contractsFamiliarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and procurement tools.Strong understanding of direct and indirect materials purchasing and cost control principlesProven ability to manage supplier performance, lead times, and quality metricsKnowledge of logistics, import/export regulations, and inventory optimization
