We have an excellent opportunity available for an experienced Procurement logistics buyer to make a difference at Kraft Heinz. The procurement logistics buyer position lies within the European business unit. You’ll be working in a high performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be reporting into Angel Martinez – Procurement logistics lead. Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal senior stakeholders. The delivery of the different sourcing strategies for different regions within the business units will be your primary responsibility. Procurement logistics within Kraft Heinz includes transportation, warehousing and repacking. You’re constantly looking for improvement activities within the procurement spectrum.
In brief, you are responsible for:
Engage and help manage mid to executive-level clients and supplier relationships on an ongoing basis to ensure customer satisfaction. Support Sourcing and Category Management for a wide portfolio of complex and/or critical categories to Kraft Heinz. Establish and deliver performance goals for a portfolio of categories representing significant spend. Lead and execute various sourcing projects for supplier selection/optimization to implement Category Management vision and strategies. Manage Supplier Relationships and conducts Supplier Business Reviews – you will act as a high-level critical issue point for performance and risk Issues As part of Supplier Management, segments suppliers at category level Research and support in the development of the supplier base for specific categories Lead discussions with identified suppliers around long-term objectives and strategies, ongoing market trends, innovation and technology advances, and potential investment decisions Support major supplier issues and work with major partners to identify and drive resolution. Identify business needs at the sourcing and category project level in the following areas: Assurance of Supply, Quality, Service, Cost, and Innovation Support the development and growth of multi-year category vision and strategy based on data, insights, and business requirements. Build strong business relationships to increase influence over total category spend. Identify and support the evaluation of potential value generating projects based on complexity, resources, risk, time to implement, and estimated financial impact. Manage prioritized portfolio of projects for the category in the near and long term. Support and lead the supplier selection and RFx award process for assigned projects. Completes complex contracts in accordance with policies and processes; ability to apply competency across categories. Actively maintain strong understanding of category dynamics (current market, pricing, cost drivers, industry, and supplier variables) through trade groups, publications, etc. and communicates changes to business partners. Support Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) at the category level through collaboration with data analytics, accountable for measuring and reporting value delivery. Be an enabler for continuous process improvement and cost reduction. Ensure the strategic sourcing process is robustly applied to all sourcing projects. Collaborates with global procurement peers to ensure support of and alignment to the supported functions.Qualifications
