As a Principal TPM on Amazon’s Mobile Shopping Foundations team, you will drive innovation across the company to bridge the resiliency and availability gap between our mobile apps and web. Most Amazon customers shop through the mobile app with billions of sessions per month. Make history by building mechanisms that solve endemic programs and scale across hundreds of teams and thousands of engineers!
About you:
You are the technical program manager with the ability to deliver long term customer value by balancing tactical work with strategic projects, balancing against complexity, ambiguity and scale. You have demonstrated the ability to lead complex technical program delivery through cross-functional technical teams. In this role, you will propose and deliver on ambitious program goals and multi-year roadmaps. You will set and communicate standards of performance that may initially seem impossible. You will collaborate with other senior leaders, Product Managers, Principal Engineers, and Engineering leads and developers to plan and implement the strategic vision and roadmap to improve resiliency on mobile. You will own and build scalable mechanisms to listen, advocate, and balance needs of internal engineering customers and retail shopping customers. You will leverage your analytical skills and high judgement to set priorities and make difficult tradeoff decisions. You will use data and develop key north star metrics to ensure we deliver the right outcomes. You earn trust with your partners and you will regularly communicate key decisions, insights, and rationale to VPs, senior leaders, and key stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
As a part of this job, you will own a large and complex program portfolio and focus on challenging problems, like:
- Setting up program mechanisms to drive alignment of the program and goal delivery with the delivery across 10+ contributing teams.
- Holding leaders across product and engineering accountable for their deliverables at the quality and timelines expected by our customers.
- Looking around corners to identify risks, tradeoffs and propose mitigations. Drive these decisions and the decision making process to be fast, simple and lowest friction.
- Delivering communication about program direction, status and future that is simple, precise and actionable to various levels of senior leaders, internal customers as well as engineers delivering on the program.

- You will own the roadmap planning, prioritization, and communication with stakeholders.
