Your primary responsibilities will revolve around providing technical support and translating customer requirements into tailored solutions to meet client needs, identifying opportunities for cross-selling and upselling, defining margins in alignment with both sales and delivery teams, drafting statements of work, and curating a repository of solution collaterals. Key responsibilities: Scoping and Sizing Opportunities Collaborate closely with the sales team and clients to comprehensively assess requirements, objectives, constraints and what SoftwareOne can offer. Utilize analytical skills to scope and size opportunities effectively, ensuring alignment with client expectations and organizational capabilities. Solution Design and Proposal Development Design customized solutions that align with client requirements, applying your expertise and knowledge of our service offerings and present these and any necessary demos. Define margins for proposed solutions in coordination with the sales and delivery teams, ensuring profitability while meeting client expectations. Create detailed and understandable statements of work (SOWs) that outline project results, timelines, and engagement specifics. Creation and Maintenance of Solution Collaterals Establish and maintain a repository of solution collaterals, including case studies, white papers, presentations, and other relevant materials. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop compelling sales collateral, presentations, and other materials to support the sales process. Market Research and Insights Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to provide valuable insights and enhance our solution offerings. Act as an authority during client interactions, presentations, and workshops, demonstrating our capabilities and value proposition effectively. Sales Support and Collaboration Provide technical guidance and support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle, from initial discovery to solution design and proposal development. Proactively find opportunities for cross-selling or upselling additional products or services to existing clients. Participate in planning sessions to contribute insights and recommendations for business growth and expansion into new markets or service areas. What we need to see from you What we need to see from you: You bring relevant experience with SAP technologies and modern application development, supported by a solid technical foundation that enables you to operate effectively in presales roles. While deep specialization in either area is not required, you are comfortable navigating both SAP environments and cloud-native application landscapes, and can translate technical capabilities into business value. You are capable of assessing a customer’s SAP architecture and application stack, identifying the products and technologies in use, and understanding the operational challenges associated with maintaining and modernizing these systems. You support sales teams as a domain expert during early project phases — from evaluation and requirements analysis to solution design and contract closure. Your Background Includes: SAP Expertise: Experience with SAP Basis, IT and business architecture, and cloud migration strategies. Understanding of IT modernization in SAP environments. Familiarity with SAP service offerings and the ability to align them with customer needs. Application Development & Cloud: Hands-on experience with modern programming languages (e.g., .NET, Java, Python). Designing or reviewing application architectures. Working with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), including containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with data platforms such as Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and relational databases (SQL, Oracle). Desirable Qualifications: Cloud certifications (Azure or AWS). Familiarity with Linux infrastructure, VMware, and the Red Hat ecosystem. Experience working with C-level partners and multi-functional teams. Exposure to hybrid SAP landscapes (on-premise and cloud). Ability to bridge the gap between technical feasibility and business value in both SAP and application projects.
