Job DescriptionAbout the Team: Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor will lead and supervise production personnel utilizing procedures and work instructions to meet or exceed customer and company requirements for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
What you can look forward to as the Production Supervisor:
Maintaining and improving production performance processes through waste reduction, problem solving and continuous improvement activity. Understanding, complying, and enforcing the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) measurements, IATF 16949, ISO-14001 requirements, Continuous Improvement, SAP, ZF policies and procedures. Understanding production processes, requirements, prioritize, making decisions, and distributing machinery work orders to meet departmental and company production goals. Directing production by regulating, coordinating, planning, assigning, resolving problems, disciplinary action, and assuring compliance with company safety, work procedures, housekeeping, and preventive maintenance programs. Promoting efficient production methods by assuring work instructions, gages, and all required documentation are in place as well as initiates and direct procedures to increase company quality and output. Analyzing operations, overseeing new job set ups, analyzing machine/equipment malfunctions, and making necessary adjustments where needed, also- reporting results of the shift in a specific and complete manner. Understand and comply with IATF 16949 and ISO 14000 requirements, and support and comply with established Company’s Corporate Principles. Other duties as it relates to this position.Your profile as Production Supervisor:
High School diploma or GED 2-4+ years of related production experience and proven leadership skills Proven interpersonal and English communication skills both verbal and written. Proficient computer skills, strong MS Office (Excel) and knowledge Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing/operations Ability to use (personally) and train individuals to use production/manufacturing equipment Basic knowledge of plant operations management and lean principles, processes, and techniques.
