Pilot Plant Intern

During your assignment, you will be part of the D&EM (Developed and Emerging Markets) R&D team. You’ll be working in a high performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be reporting into (Francesco Torraca, Process Design & Pilot Plant Manager). As an integrated team member, we welcome you to take part in the team’s activities such as team meeting & category meeting which will give you a real feel for the company and the business. Get ready for a lot of exposure to internal senior stakeholders. The delivery of the Process Optimization & Line Validation Protocols will be your primary responsibility.
Project brief
You will be responsible for the development of standardization procedures and protocol to operate and validate new-technology equipment that will enable continuous improvement of our production processes and development of novel process design. Furthermore, you’ll support the team for project trials.
Key activities
Learning how to operate the key equipment in the Pilot Plant, instrumental for the development of the Kraft Heinz future portfolio. Support the team doing pilot plant trials with different unit operations and the key unit operation under investigation Developing and validating new protocols and procedures to standardize ways of working Set conclusions & recommendations. Sharing knowledge within the HIC and other departments (presentation and final report).Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s level in food processing technology or chemical food/chemical related engineering Must have process technology/engineering/microbiology understanding Must be hands on with practical work and writing down instructions Work Experience: minimal Knowledge: Food processing, unit operations, microbiology Language Knowledge: EnglishProfessional Attributes

You are enrolled at a university for at least 50% study load for the duration of the internship.
