You will assist with: + **Support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) initiatives** by participating in safety observations, audits, and meetings to promote a safe work environment. + **Assist in Management of Change (MOC) processes** , helping track and document technical changes under supervision. + **Gain hands-on exposure** to process technology, control systems, and production equipment to build foundational knowledge of plant operations. + **Help analyze plant performance KPIs** by collecting and visualizing data as part of the Asset Operations Work Process (AOWP) and AOPS methodology. + **Assist with KPI tracking** using red/green visual management tools and support discussions to address off-target performance metrics. + **Support the identification of production losses** (e.g., yield, utilization, equipment downtime) and assist in categorizing deviation data for further analysis. + **Contribute to corrective action planning** by helping identify trends and participating in discussions to close operational performance gaps. + **Observe and participate in advanced troubleshooting** with experienced engineers; assist with root cause analysis to understand and document recurring issues. + **Help prepare technical communications** by summarizing performance insights or technical findings for internal teams or stakeholders. + **Apply basic continuous improvement techniques** to evaluate small-scale opportunities for performance enhancement in cost, quality, or throughput. + **Collaborate with plant personnel** to learn how operations are optimized to meet business and quality goals. + **Assist in the tracking of improvement initiatives** , including EH&S, capital, and productivity-based projects. + **Support the evaluation and prioritization** of improvement ideas using established tools and methods. + **Participate in plant team meetings and cross-functional activities** to gain exposure to daily operations and ongoing projects. + **Assist in scoping and implementing small-scale projects** under mentorship, such as process optimizations or data-driven initiatives. + **Shadow plant representatives in project discussions** to understand the role of manufacturing in technical and improvement projects. + **Support on-call engineers** by learning response procedures (note: participation in the on-call rotation may be observational, based on site policy and intern role scope). **Key Stakeholders and Interactions:** Teamwork is a big part of life here, so you must be someone who loves taking a collaborative approach and who can recognize and acknowledge the contribution of others.
