The purpose of the Payroll Experience team is to own, craft and deliver brilliant execution of payroll processes. **Dimensions:** **a) Financial** The role will have the responsibility of the budgets assigned to run the structure below and any other regional Payroll initiatives that they may be asked to lead. The holder will need to be financially aware of their responsibilities and remain budget-conscious and compliant, constantly seeking simplifications and opportunities to reduce costs. **b) Market** **Complexity** This role will be responsible for a specific set of markets within the Latin American Region. The role will need the individual to understand and run accurate and compliant Payroll operations for Diageo’s employees in the Latin American region. There is a requirement for close liaison with the HR leadership Team in every market as well as supporting functions like Finance, Taxes and global functions. **c) Leadership Responsibilities** + This role is key within the Global Payroll Operations Team and is encouraged to play a broad and impactful role in delivering the Payroll Experience Operational & Transformation Agenda + Lead multi country Payroll Operational teams to deliver a timely and accurate payroll experience for our employees + Senior Collaborator engagement across the HR and Diageo Shared Services functions; influencing as vital + Strong inter personal skills are required to empower and ensure alignment across multiple teams; business process, data and technical governance + Drive simplification and efficiency into our processes and systems in support of our global efficiency agenda + Ensure all controls and processes are understood and delivered to meet internaland external regulatory requirement + Act as custodian of the overall GBO strategy for the region through the design, implementation and maintenance of the Payroll Experience Processes, including effective performance metrics. **Purpose of Role** The Regional Head - Payroll Operations will develop, own and complete Operational Roadmap for the assigned region while ensuring tranquility in operations throughout any initiatives. **Top Accountabilities** + Work with Market/ Regional HR teams to build line of sight into Existing HR Operations + Develop and maintain playbook for Payroll Operational Policies and processes in the region + Maintain an external perspective on outstanding HR & Payroll process and apply to improvements + Own overall payroll performance for the region including Partner Relationships **Qualifications and Experience Required** + Proven ability working across Payroll Operations and systems + Experience in HR & Payroll Operations management in a multi-country environment + Proven record as a collaborative great teammate, able to work in a cross functional team and collaborate to deliver to daring timelines + Demonstrated capability to build and maintain good business relationships at all levels + Demonstrated capability to deliver through cross-functional and geographically diverse teams effectively + Experience interpreting business requirements, recognizing impact on business processes, and making recommendations + A structured and methodical approach with attention to detail and a strong control and governance attitude + Ability to drive performance through others, supporting colleagues in pursuit of the team goal and ensuring focus on deliverables + Knowledge of how to apply appropriate models, frameworks and standard process + Strong communications skills both written and verbal **Barriers to Success in Role** + Lack of ability to influence at a senior level + Poor engagement skills with key collaborators + Lack of ability to deliver though others + Poor communication skills + Inability to work across cultures/geographies Flexible Working options / Travel requirements For this role we anticipate the percentage of travel to be between 0 - 25 percent.
