The Opportunity

Role Purpose:
 

Waratah Australia is responsible for the receipt, storage, and dispatch of products directly to commercial retail customers throughout Australia, as well as through other distribution channels in Africa and Asia. To achieve this, the Parts Support – Leading Hand plays a crucial role in providing exemplary customer service to our retail customers and dealers within the region in a prompt and efficient manner. This role also includes supervisory responsibilities for Parts/Logistics employees.

Role Responsibilities:

Provide supervisory support to the Parts/Logistics team to ensure all tasks are completed in alignment with our goals and customer expectations. Deliver excellent customer service to our commercial retail customers, dealers, and internal clients within the region. This includes but is not limited to handling customer complaints, processing orders, providing price quotes, interpreting parts, managing returns, and addressing freight inquiries. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships and effective communication with customers and suppliers. Coordinate with the Parts Manager to raise parts replenishment purchase orders. Lead new projects, including the implementation of new programs and engagement with new suppliers. Maintain accurate stock levels. Collaborate closely with Product Support and Administration colleagues. Participate in an after-hours parts on-call roster to maximize customer uptime. Assist in maintaining the facility's condition and quality, fittings, and equipment by reporting and identifying issues impacting safety and operations. Share responsibility for maintaining overall facility cleanliness. Perform any additional duties that may impact the distribution of Waratah products in the designated region. About You

What skills you need: 

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a parts/logistics environment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle complaints and inquiries effectively. Excellent communication and relationship management skills. Ability to lead projects and implement new programs Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate stock levels. Willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call roster. Commitment to maintaining facility cleanliness and safety.

 

What Makes You Stand Out:

Technical Proficiency: Educational background or proficiency in mechanical/hydraulic systems. Project management and leadership experience. Financial Acumen: Focus on business sustainability and success.
