Paint Operative (Powder Coating)- Evening Shift (Monday to Thursday 38 hours per week)

As a Paint Operative on our Evening Shift, you will work as part of a team in material preparation for powder coating in accordance with internal specifications while maintaining uninterrupted production according to operational demands, prescribed tolerances, quality standards and safety requirements. 

Main Responsibilities include:

Preparing parts for powder coating by cleaning, blowing down, bunging & sanding as necessary.Applying powder coating using electrostatic spray guns to the desired DFT.Quality inspection of powder coated parts to ensure they meet quality standards.Operate curing ovens to cure powder coated surfaces.Filling, sanding, and smoothing surfaces that need to be powder coated.Experienced in using & maintaining air-fed respiratory equipment.

Essential Criteria

Mechanical knowledge to operate power tools and hand tools effectively.Ability to maintain high-quality standards in a fast-paced work environment.Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high quality finishes.Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.

Desirable Criteria

Minimum 1 year experience in powder coating within a manufacturing environmentKnowledge of various coating types and their applications would be advantageous.
