ORV Build & Ship Performance Manager

The Manager, ORV Build & Ship Performance leads the cross-functional planning, execution, and visibility of ORV ship and build, from planned build to vehicle delivery. This position acts as the single source of truth,  while leading end-to-end tracking, visibility and cross-functional team communication on progress, risks, and countermeasures, to deliver the company’s shipment and financial goals. In addition, he/she is responsible for the communication and execution of highly accurate dealer order ship dates while supporting a ship to retail focus (RFM). Partners with logistics to balance ship accuracy, velocity and cost.  Leads the long term ship planning vision and strategy. This position requires strong cross-functional influencing and communication skills with all levels of the company including logistics, sales, finance, planning, manufacturing, and engineering.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ship Strategy, Goals, and Action Planning
•    Lead cross-functionally (SIOP, Logistics, Product Line Sales) to develop the 4-month (S&OE) ship strategy and plan that supports ORV stocking, retail, inventory and order lead time targets
•    Drive ship to retail initiatives that support retail and market share goals
•    Champion high dealer order visibility and accurate ship date execution to ensure Dlr & customer satisfaction
•    Partner with logistics to develop strategies to manage ship costs while hitting ship dates and velocity targets
•    Develop and execute monthly and quarterly ship plans to deliver retail and financials
•    Identify short- and long-term strategies to improve service level and drive cost reduction
•    Partner with cross-functional teams to identify build and ship issues, along with countermeasures 
•    Drive and coordinate information sharing to highlight gaps to plan and enable appropriate actions
•    Work cross-functionally to drive visibility, accountability, and execution of build and ship plans

End-to-End Tracking and Visibility
•    Owner of reporting & metrics to deliver timely, accurate information to needed channels
•    Owner of process and tools to track build and ship progress, tying information together from end-to-end
•    Coordinate inputs and information from various teams to provide clear picture of current state, impact of in-flight activities, and outstanding gaps to overcome
•    Lead forecast process to best capture forward-looking ship expectations based on available inputs and potential scenarios (week, month, quarter, year)

Cross-Functional Alignment
•    Partner with SIOP team to ensure high order/ship/build alignment within 4-month (S&OE) planning horizon
•    Identifies and develop appropriate metrics to ensure ship plan is supported by SIOP plans
•    Engages with supplier task force, sourcing, central planning, SIOP, and plant teams to synthesize information flow, and then develop strategies, action plans, and countermeasures
•    Drive alignment with finance to tie build and ship team activities back through the financials
•    Partners with platform and product line sales to ensure ship strategies support retail & share
•    Works with field and product line sales team to develop competitive benchmarking for shipments

Team Development
•    Leads high-performing, accountable team
•    Develops team members to support current & future business and employee goals


SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
•    5+ years of relevant experience required (Logistics, Sales Operations, SIOP, Product Line Sales)
•    Candidate must be detail-oriented and a creative thinker with outstanding organization, communication, project management and analytical skills; strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
•    Demonstrated success working in a very fast-paced environment and ability to handle multiple projects while meeting deadlines
•    Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and interact with all levels of management
•    Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
•    Strong customer focus skills

WORKING CONDITIONS

•    Location – Bass Creek Facility, Plymouth, MN
•    Corporate office environment 
•    Travel required, up to 15% of the time 
 

The pay range for Minnesota is $109,000 to $144,000 per year. Individual salaries are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
