(1-2 years of experience preferred ) Organizational and process improvement skills as well as basic understanding of Network and Security DMZ infrastructure. As a Junior Engineer you will be shadowing our External networks expert in their day to day Learn about different external networks technologies. Starting by DDI/LB , then Firewalls to finish by Threat Prevention Become a junior external network engineer after few months on your preferred scope You will oversee different processes of External networks team towers and work to merge processes / tools used by DDI/LB /Perimeter and threat prevention team members **Responsibilities:** + Learn about external networks technologies to eventually move to Engineer position. + Collaborate with various stakeholders: project managers, application owners, and operations. + Ensure smooth Service transition to operations. + Ensuring documentation is updated to reflect new additions to or modifications in the environment and handed into Operations successfully. + Help on change templates / mod ops automation. + Liaise with Information Security partners to enforce compliance with standards. + Support activities related to Audit, Compliance Reviews & Regulatory Exams. + Manage external networks documentation repository. **Required Skills:** + Basic knowledge of Network Security Datacenter and DMZ infrastructure and how they are interconnected. + Good understanding of change management principles, techniques, and tools. + Experience in ITSM tools / reporting + Experience in documentation repository tools + A taste in process continuous improvement + Understanding of Network Automation tools and processes + Good verbal and written communication skills + Must possess strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and people management skills. + Must be able to work and communicate effectively with all levels in the organization. + Must demonstrate positive attitude with ability to manage stakeholder expectations and adaptable to changing environment. **Desired Skills:** + Experience with BMC Remedy/ and or Service Now ticketing system. + Confluence/SharePoint/Wiki or other documentation repository tools + Basic Knowledge of LB/Firewall/IPS/Threat Prevention + Attention to detail, confident enough to raise questions and escalate when necessary. + Understanding of the principles of network routing/switching + Basic knowledge Unix/Linux and Windows environments + Experience with automation tools such as Python, PowerShell, Ansible, + API calls (to ticketing systems and network devices), and frontend web development. + Experience of working within Financial Services (Insurance, Banking, Investment banking) + ITIL Foundation would be a plus Bank of America and its affiliates consider for employment and hire qualified candidates without regard to race, religious creed, religion, color, sex, sexual orientation, genetic information, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, protected veteran or disability status or any factor prohibited by law, and as such affirms in policy and practice to support and promote the concept of equal employment opportunity, in accordance with all applicable federal, state, provincial and municipal laws.
