Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Mechanical Engineering Intern located in our Columbia, SC site.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Intern will assist with daily tasks while learning, collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams.

What a typical day looks like:

Assist Engineering Team with meeting site production objectivesReviewing documentation, CAD drawings and reporting finding to teamMonitoring bottlenecks and making recommendations to managementAttend team meetings and support project work as needed

Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:

Sophomore/Junior student pursuing Mechanical/Industrial Engineering majorCAD tools (Solidworks) experienceBasic understanding of statistical analysisLean/Six Sigma helpfulEnthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environmentHighly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skillsPrevious internship experience a plus!

Internship Program Requirements:

Available to work 40 hours/week (in person) for a 10-12 week Summer assignmentCurrently enrolled in 4-year accredited university3.0 GPAJob CategoryIntern
