Marketing Director - Greater Asia
Overview • This is a newly created role that sits on the Asia Marketing Leadership Team – helping to craft future strategies, elevate capability, drive executional excellence and build ‘PepsiCo Way’ culture • The role covers a huge geographical remit with a variety of business models – North Asia (Japan, Korea), MAPS (Malaysia, Singapore) and MLC (Myanmar, Laos & Cambodia). • Whilst the role reports directly to the Asia CMO, your key stakeholders are the General Managers of each cluster. • The role will have functional reporting lines from the Marketing Teams of each cluster. • You will be required to wear many hats and adapt to a fast-paced & agile environment. • This is a multi-faceted operational role where you need to operate at different altitudes; from strategic guidance and thinking to getting your hands ‘dirty’ in the detail & execution. Responsibilities • Long Term Plans - Partner with Regional Category Teams on long term Portfolio Strategies & Plans rooted in deep local consumer & category insights • AOP Plans - Lead local Marketing teams to plan & execute Country Plans that deliver against Net Revenue & Market Share targets for the year • Lift & Scale - Identify cross market synergies to ‘lift & scale’ best practice & playbooks – communications & innovation • Elevate Consumer Centricity – partner with Insights team on agile & accurate methodologies/ tools to mine for consumer, shopper & category insights & trends • A&M Accountability & Alignment – allocation, spending, tracking, optimizing & reporting • Media Strategy – Partner with Category Media Lead on strategic approach to Media; Portfolio Allocation, Media Sufficiency, Platform & Channel ROI • Media Implementation – coach & support Market Teams on timely & optimized media implementation; with clear measurable outcomes & reporting/ learnings • Innovation Execution – coach & support Market Teams on innovation execution; forecasting, consumer validation, trade presentations, channel plans, post campaign reviews • Pack Price Architecture – partner with Commercial Teams on identifying & developing PPAs to maximize net revenue management • Agency Management & Review – review, assess & strengthen agency roster performance, SOW and costs • Internal Stakeholder Management & Meetings – lead internal business reviews & meetings with GMs, Regional teams and Global visitors • External Stakeholder Management – partner with Market GMs on Bottler relationships regarding the Marketing agenda • Process Management – refine, strengthen & scale up marketing processes to drive consistency, clarity & completeness Qualifications Attitude: • Curiosity – you have a thirst to go deeper; understand why, what, how, when • Builder – you love to coach, mentor and build talent, culture and brands • Action Driver – you have a biased for action, deliverables and outcomes • Ambidextrous – you can think strategically, and long term yet act now • Collaborator – you know the power of teams & relationships to get things done • Influence – you have an aura and ‘x’ factor that can sell snow to the Eskimos Track Record: • Leadership – you’ve managed complex matrix reporting lines with a variety of senior stakeholders • Culturally In Tune – you know the local nuances of different Asian cultures & ways of working • Local & Regional – you’ve been on both sides – operated in local business and led regional management roles with exceptional results • Multi Brand – managing multiple brands across multiple categories is not new to you
