Job Title: Manufacturing Technician II
Division: Protein Diagnostics (PDX)

Job Summary:
As a Manufacturing Technician II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation within QC testing team. You will be responsible for handling your own workload to meet the published plans, performing scheduled activities, ensuring inventory availability, and carrying out data and process checks. Your role will also involve troubleshooting, decision-making, training, suggesting improvements, and contributing to process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Workload Management: Manage own workload to meet the published plan.Maintenance: Own and perform scheduled maintenance activities on designated pieces of equipment and/or designated areas of the laboratory floor.Inventory Management: Ensure inventory is available in the correct quantity and location when needed to complete assigned work.Data and Process Checking: Routinely carry out data and process checking activities.Practical Techniques: Complete all practical techniques required by the job role and apply knowledge to carry out first-level troubleshooting.Decision Making: Make decisions that impact your own and other technicians’ work.Error Mitigation: Suggest measures to mitigate against sources of errors.Operational/Scientific Understanding: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of relevant operational and/or scientific principles within your area.Training: Routinely perform training of specific processes within the group.Process Improvement: Actively suggest improvements to processes and procedures within the group to improve Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Quality compliance.PPI Opportunities: Identify PPI (process and performance improvement) opportunities and contribute to initiatives to implement improvements.Goal Setting: Set and meet effective goals and create and keep deadlines.Complete QC testing of components and finished products using a range of automated analyserWorking to set manufacturing proceduresAccurate documentation of results on worksheets and spreadsheets in line with quality requirements.Moving of bulks (lifting up to 15kg and pushing of bulk on trolleys up to 100litres)Entering cold rooms (+4 and -20)Working with biohazards samplesUse of the ERP system and QMS systemQualifications:
Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year's relevant experience OR a relevant degree.Skills and Competencies:
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and principles.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.Effective communication and training skills.Ability to suggest and implement improvements.Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
