Manufacturing Manager

Ecolab, a global leader in water purification and antibody purification is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to join the team.  In this role, you will manage the production department which includes the manufacturing and packaging of all Ion exchange resin products.

Responsibilities and Authority:

Ensures a strong safety culture and strong safety performanceLeads the production team such that all employees feel valued and are engaged in site goalsEnsures that the production plant is operating under the best economic conditions and conforming to statutory and company requirementsImplements TPM (Total Productive Maintenance/Management) in production premises with particular emphasis on 5S and loss eliminationDelivers productivity improvements to support business growthEnsures all products are manufactured in accordance with standard costs, quality specifications and packaged to meet sales demandEnsures production orders are manufactured in a timely manner adherent to schedule to attend Planned Shipping Dates agreed with customersCollaborates with research and development, and engineering departments on new developments and the introduction of new productsA key member of the site leadership teamAssists senior management in developing a strategic plan for future development of the siteMaintains KPIs and ensures the effectiveness of daily production meetingsBuilds strong relationships with other department managers and works together as one site team to deliver the required resultsPerforms other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Requirements:

Previous manufacturing experience and exceptional man management skills. Must have knowledge of the various statutory requirements relative to the chemical industry. Computer literate with advanced writing skills. Has the ability to initiate tasks and work in an independent manner. Must be able to communicate with visitors, professional and plant personnel.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.Immigration sponsorship not available for this position8 years of experience in manufacturing6 years of prior supervisory experience in chemical manufacturing within a related industry

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in ion exchange processing and manufacturing is desired.

Contacts and Relationships:

Interfaces with other department personnel in the corporate office, administration and plant locations as necessary. Requires good communication, interpersonal skills and interacts well with external customers, visitors, employees and management in other departments

Working Conditions:

Position operates in an environment in which there may be temperature extremes and exposure to weather, excessive noise and vibrations, moving mechanical parts, electric shock, hazardous chemicals, gases, odors, hot liquids or equipment.  May work in high, low or confined spaces.

Physical requirements:

Position requires lifting/pushing/carrying up to 50 pounds chest high. 

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The base salary range for this position is $117,200.00 - $175,800.00. This position is eligible for annual bonus pay based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
