As a Maintenance Technician you will be tasked to provide competent and effective maintenance support to our plant operations.

Position-Related Duties and Key Job Responsibilities

Install, repair, and service machinery and equipment support systems. Perform minor electrical repairs and installations.Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues; run tests, isolate problems, remove/replace failed components.Develop and implement preventive maintenance systems for all production equipment and/or batching/processing equipment.Execute predictive and preventative maintenance practices for all production equipment.Perform systematic preventative maintenance, including electrical or mechanical adjustments, inspections and minor repairs.Understanding of VFD’s, Motors, Electrical Schematics, Troubleshooting with a multimeter.In a timely manner, identify and correct potential equipment problems.Maintain accurate records and logs as required.Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in the execution of the work schedule. Ensures the area is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion.Work directly with cross-departmental personnel and management to problem-solve to ensure maximum production efficiencies.Comply with all standard safety practices, safety rules, and all Company rules and policies.Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment including immediately correcting or reporting safety issues to your supervisor.Read, understand and comply with standard operating procedures and Safety Data Sheets.Capture description and procedures used for troubleshooting and repairs performed in CMMS.Obtains, drawings, instructional manuals and special procedures, as needed, from files or other sources. Makes any additional sketches, diagrams, etc., necessary.Ensures the safety needs are given a top priority in operations support and work execution. Some examples are Arc Flash/Shock Hazard safety, confined space entry, LOTO, Line Break Permit, hazardous materials, hand tool safe use, etc.Enforces plant polices in the execution of their assigned duties. Report violations of plant polices to the Management.Attends meetings and support continuous improvement initiatives.Recommends equipment to be included in preventive maintenance programs.Performs other tasks and special assignments as requested by management.

Education and Qualifications

Associates or Technical Degree (preferred)Related Work Experience – 3+ years’ experience in industrial manufacturing maintenancePrior diagnostic, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance experiencePrevious experience in a high-speed industrial work environment

Functional/Technical Skills

Achieve a passing score on the Maintenance Technician test.Must supply own tools per the Maintenance required tool list.Able to read one-line diagrams, P&ID, blueprints and schematics.Able to lift up to 50 pounds.Ability to work on multiple levels, such as catwalks, ladders, etc. and ability to work in extreme temperatures.Ability to visually identify defective parts. detect defective parts, machine failures, and changes in speed.Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work efficiently under stressful situations.Must be able to work flexible shift schedules as determined by business need.Must be able to use a computer and associated software programs.Perform all tasks in a safe manner to ensure achievement of Quality, Service and Cost objectives.
