Parker Aerospace Fluid Systems Division – North Hollywood, Californiasite was established in 1947 and acquired by Meggitt in 1999 and by Parker Hannifin Aerospace in 2021. In 2019, the facility was designated as Meggitt’s Machining Center of Excellence, with state-of-the-art multi-axis milling, turning, and additive layer manufacturing equipment. Parker Aerospace Fluid Systems Division – North Hollywood, California manufacturing features an upgraded 110k square foot, world-class manufacturing and testing facility. The facility has been designated as a Machining Center of Excellence within the Parker Meggitt group with recent additions of state-of-the-art multi-axis milling, turning, and additive layer manufacturing equipment. We also have testing capabilities for fluid and pneumatic valves that can duplicate the high temperatures, pressures, and flow rates of modern aircraft systems. Parker Aerospace Fluid Systems Division – North Hollywood, California facility designs and manufactures valves and controls that regulate the flow of air and fluids under pressure and high temperatures. Its pneumatic and fluid control lines include fuel, mixing, and starter valves, air-oil separators, and solenoid valves used in commercial and military aircraft and aero engines. Industrial offerings provide fuel and bleed-air control valves and ground fueling products for power generation and mechanical drives. POSITION SUMMARY To set up and operate any CNC machine, run for first part verification, check prior to submitting for approval. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or is an essential function of the position. + Works from sketches, blueprints or written instructions, verbal orders or other specifications as required. + Makes layout as required to establish reference lines and points for machining sequence selected. + Computes and locates unknown dimensions as when compound angles are involved. + Analyze tooling to improve tool life and prevent discrepancies. + Make recommendations for process improvements to optimize operations. + Set up and operate Mill Turns and other Multi Axis CNC machines + Support secondary operations while machines are operating, such as ; Deburring, degreasing etc. + Performs miscellaneous related duties, such as 6s(house-keeping and organizing) on any shift as required. QUALIFICATIONS Education, Experiences, Certificates/Licenses and/or Registrations: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered. · High school diploma or GED or 10+ years of practical experience in machines shop. · Or vocational training and 5+ years of practical machining experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, qualifications, competencies, abilities and any physical demands if required. Must have had sufficient experience in machining parts and a knowledge of mechanics to plan required machining and determine fits, threads, dimensions and tolerance from use of function of part. Must be able to read and interpret a variety of blueprints found in machine shop work and work from shop sketches, oral and written functional information and worn part samples. Ferrous and non-ferrous metals in various forms; bar, tube, plate, casings, forgings, etc. Tools used: Machinist’s hand tools, depth mic, plug gage instruments as precision blocks, sine plate, micrometers, calipers, indicators, dial bores and air gaging equipment, hand tools, etc. Equipment used: Mills; 3axis, 4axis, 5 axis, Multi axis Mill Turns, Lathe; 2 axis and Multi Axis Turning.
