What you'll do: 

In this challenging role, you will be called upon to provide a variety of legal advice to support Prevost's day-to-day business and operations in North America, primarily in the areas of corporate and commercial law, contract review, regulatory compliance and litigation. 

 

Your responsibilities: 

Provide legal advice and opinions in various matters related to Prevost's North American operations with respect to applicable legislation and regulations, as well as internal Volvo Group policies. 

Participate in the review and negotiation of various types of commercial contracts, including product sales contracts, supply contracts and information technology contracts. 

Advise the company on legal risks, proposing different business options.

Monitor litigation files entrusted to external lawyers. 

Provide legal support to bidding teams to ensure that tenders run smoothly. 

Advise the company on regulatory compliance issues. 

Prepare, offer and organize in-house training courses. 

Prepare various reports and presentations requested by the Volvo Group and Prevost's Executive Committee. 

Perform all other related tasks of a legal nature linked to the company's activities.

Who are you? 

Bachelor's degree in law and member of a professional association

Knowledge of Common Law (an asset)

Minimum of eight (8) years' relevant experience in commercial law

Expertise in contractual matters and review supplier contracts

Litigation management skills, particularly in product liability (an asset)

Ability to work independently and efficiently on multiple assignments in a dynamic environment

Demonstrate a strong spirit of collaboration

Effective communicator with excellent writing skills.
