We are seeking a talented individual to join our Management Intelligence team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office
Lead Specialist - Metrics, Analytics and Reporting
We will count on you to:
Ensure that incoming BAU reporting is handled effectively, promptly (in line with SLA’s) and accurately so that the needs of internal and external customers are consistently met and exceeded.
Perform data analysis utilizing knowledge of insurance and data handling to deliver BAU reports and Ad Hoc queries.
Responsible for resolving issues that arise during report generation and work closely with the development team on these issues as necessary.
Provide support to the Reporting Operations Service Desk team for Reporting Incidents and Requests for Information.
Manage ADO tickets end to end and provide status updates / raise potential blockers during daily stand up.
Process onboarding of new reports (i.e. handover) and implement clear and concise Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
Manage reporting incident communications for BAU reports (i.e. Reporting Incident Updates) by providing necessary details to Service Desk for distribution.
What You Need to Have:
Technical Skills
3 - 5 years working as a reporting analyst (or supporting role) in an agile environment with globally distributed teams.
Knowledge of data visualization tools (preferably Qlik Sense) in order to manage online reports.
Ability to problem solve reporting issues as they arise.
Ability to perform data analysis for ad-hoc reporting queries.
Knowledge of agile methodologies, in particular Kanban.
Good understanding of MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Outlook
Interpersonal skills – every bit as important as the technical side
Collaborating and working well with others; you will be working closely with your colleagues in the Reporting Services team as well as the other teams within MI (Business Analysis, Data Quality and Data Prep, Development team, Regional Reporting Teams and the Data Operations team) and outside of MI (Data Strategy, Qlik Admin team).
Excellent communication skills including the ability to explain technical issues to a business audience and vice-versa. Providing regular updates and being transparent with our stakeholders is key in addition to documentation of our reporting processes.
A continuous learner with the ability to problem solve quickly as reporting issues arise; being proactive and taking end to end ownership of reporting issues.
Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize deliverables.
Influencing and negotiation skills in a virtual / remote environment. You will be based in India and will be working closely with the Reporting Services team members based in Ireland, UK and In.
What makes you stand out:
Experience with using a Kanban board, in particular Azure DevOps
Experience with using ServiceNow for service ticket management
Exposure to tools such as SQL, Python, PowerQuery, VBA, QlikView, Qlik Sense, Business Objects
Understanding of the insurance and / or insurance broking domain
Understanding of the Data Quality domain
