Overview:
The ‘Services within Mastercard’ division is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution.
Identity Solutions (a program within Services), is the global standard in identity verification, providing businesses worldwide the ability to link any digital transaction to the human behind it. Our Identity Engine, the first and only of its kind, uses complex machine learning to combine features derived from the billions of transactions within our proprietary network and the data from our graph to deliver industry leading risk assessment solutions.
We are the Identity Solutions Services Platform Engineering team responsible for building the capabilities required to package our customer-facing api products.
We are looking for Lead Software Engineer who can help tech lead other developers in the team.
Role & Responsibilities:
•\tWork as part of a development Scrum team in an Agile environment that is geographically diverse
•\tHelp lead and mentor team from tech perspective
•\tResponsible for the analysis, design, development, and delivery of software backend (REST API) solutions
•\tDefine requirements for new applications and customization adhering to Mastercard standards, processes, and best practices
•\tDevelop, customize, and test applications to integrate to Mastercard’s specifications
All About You:
The ideal candidate would have the following skills:
•\tAdvanced Java development skills
•\tAdvanced skills and knowledge of Java 17+, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate
•\tExperience in building Restful services and clients using Spring framework
•\tExperience working with Junit/Mockito/Spring Test
•\tExperience with JBehave / Cucumber BDD testing/ Spock
•\tSelf-motivated with the ability to accomplish tasks with minimal direction
•\tExperience mentoring providing technical support to junior team members
•\tExperience managing projects/initiatives as either an individual contributor or leading a small team
•\tAbility to innovate and develop new approaches to complex design problems
•\tBasic security knowledge (TLS, Encryption, hashing, JWT)
•\tKnowledge of cloud platforms like Azure or AWS or PCF
The ideal candidate may also possess some of these secondary skills:
•\tExperience with NoSQL databases
•\tExperience with Git, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle
