R&D Department Lead

Your role and responsibilities

You will be part of Process Control Platform (PCP) which is the development center for ABB Process Automation products. We develop and maintain a broad range of products needed for different Industrial Distributed Control Systems. As LCA/EPD engineer you will be a key player in a growing team working on sustainability topics.As a starting point you will drive LCA and EPD work on our current product portfolio. In this work you will create LCA’s as well as working with third party verifier for the EPD’s. In parallel you will be involved in new product development supporting the projects with LCA/EPD calculations and in the long term also in discussions related to create sustainable products.You will work with several contact points, portfolio management, R&D and different R&D projects as well towards our operations team and EMS’s building our products.Sustainability is a growing topic so in the future we foresee other areas as well that needs to be handled by a team of people with responsibility to support R&D creating sustainable products.Location: Sweden Västerås•Responsible for LCA and EPD work at R&D•Part of new development projects to provide sustainability data at release•Support and contact person at R&D towards product portfolio management regarding LCA/EPD’s•Continuously develop processes and tools around EPD and LCA

Qualifications for the role

At least 2 years of experience in LCA/EPD workGeneral understanding of electronics and embedded productsKnowledge of SimaPro LCA toolA collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills A Bachelor/or Master of science in Electrical Engineering or similarFluency in English
