PPG Aerospace is looking for an Entry Level Sealants Lab Technician at our Manufacturing Facility based in Mojave, CA! As a Lab Technician, you are the person who ensures that products manufactured at this facility meet all customer requirements. You will report directly to Sealants Lab Supervisor.
 

Key Responsibilities

Perform basic mathematical equationsConduct Analytical testing on our Raw Materials, Coatings, and Sealants products and ensure all testing is performed as definedEnsure all Lab equipment is working and calibratedHelp achieve team goals by communicating ideas, suggestions, and assistance, e.g., identifying and communicating ways to save time, effort, and resourcesBe or become familiar with SOPs and ASTMs pertaining to everyday chemicals and testing proceduresParticipate in all safety protocols and 5S initiatives and help to maintain the laboratory equipment and inventoriesKeep a clean work environment, including the execution of routine upkeep activities in support of the entire labInspect, test, and perform evaluations on productsClearly identify and communicate issues that need to be addressed and take the necessary steps to avoid future errorsDigital literacy in ERP System (QAD preferred) and Microsoft OfficeAlign with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements at all times
 

Qualifications

One (1) year of previous experience working in a laboratory environment strongly preferred but not requiredMust be willing to primarily work 2nd and 3rd shift and weekends as needed, typically 2x per month.Related technical certifications with coatings and sealants preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent required or bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering field preferredMust be a US Person

Salary Range: $48,000-$54,000
