KD Program Launch Lead
Job Description

Work Arrangement: This role is categorized as onsite. this means the successful candidate to report to the GM office full time.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Lead the execution of KD (Knocked Down) programs, following NoD (Notice of Decision), aligned with GM’s Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP) to ensure on-time (SORP Launch timing), high-quality launches, and guide required teams to conclude program at end of lifecycle (EOP).Become the SME of Knocked Down variants & advise on opportunities, studied by Planning, with recommendation of best approach for success.Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality to meet critical program milestones (PPV, MVBnS, MVBS, SORP) and ensure end-to-end readiness.Develop and manage the master timing plan, program scorecards, and KPIs. Monitor progress, mitigate risks, and lead decision-making through structured reviews and status reporting.Facilitate alignment with source plants, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure program requirements, type approval, regulatory compliance, and Controlling program spendings.Executive reporting, KPI dashboards & lead leadership review meetings.Provides guidance to team on project plan development, issue and risk identification and mitigation resolution.Resolves escalated issues and roadblocks of a technical or organizational nature.Identifies the roles of project team members, project reporting requirements, organizational structures, frequency of interaction, and training requirements needed for team members. tracks and reports project completion status.Capture lessons learned, conduct GVDP and program management training, and promote knowledge sharing across workstreams and departments.Apply lean principles to optimize processes, ensure compliance with launch protocols, and track business deliverables & resources.Interface with finance, legal, marketing, and engineering to align program content, manage capacity and complexity, and drive value creation throughout the lifecycle.Lead change request processes, control scope, and manage project risks and issue resolution through structured governance and change boards (Steering Committee Meeting, LPET).Lead and facilitate Program Execution Team (PET) meetings, workshops, and leadership reviews. Ensure documentation, issue tracking, and decision logs are maintained.

Additional Job Description

Education/Experience:

B.Sc. in Engineering, Mechanical preferably in Automotive Engineering, familiar with vehicle sub-systems & components.+5 Years of experience in automotive sector.

Core Job Requirements/Competencies:

Fluent in English with strong interpersonal, negotiation, and decision-making skills.Excellent command of PowerPoint, MS Project, Power BI.In-depth knowledge of Global Vehicle Launch Process (GVDP) and vehicle launch processes.Program & project management, risk analysis and KPI tracking.Strategic planning in KD operation and localization initiatives.Adept at working in dynamic, high-pressure environments with strong problem-solving abilities.Cross-functional stakeholder alignment and global-local collaboration.High adaptability and learning agility in ambiguous, fast-paced changing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Worked in OEMs.PMP Certified.Good Command in Power Automate.Advanced degree in Business or Engineering.
