We are seeking a highly skilled IT Modernization Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience implementing AI/GenAI in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) or other federal agencies. This role requires extensive experience in leading enterprise-level IT systems development and sustainment for the Federal government, including inter-connected IT system transitions, modernizations, acquisitions, and transformations. Hands-on experience in roles such as software sustainment, IT modernization, or IT project management is essential. The candidate must also have certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Key Responsibilities:
+ Implement AI/GenAI Solutions: Utilize your experience in implementing AI/GenAI solutions within DHS or other federal agencies to drive modernization efforts.
+ Lead IT Systems Development: Oversee the development and sustainment of enterprise-level IT systems for the Federal government, ensuring seamless transitions and modernizations.
+ Manage IT Projects: Lead and manage IT modernization projects, including software sustainment, system acquisitions, and transformations.
+ Ensure Interoperability: Ensure compatibility and interoperability among various IT systems and data sources.
+ Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with federal agency stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver effective IT solutions.
+ Optimize Performance: Continuously optimize IT systems for performance, security, and scalability.
+ Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, processes, and project progress.
Required Qualifications:
+ Experience: 5+ years’ experience in IT modernization including a minimum of 1 year of experience implementing AI/GenAI in federal agencies.
+ Leadership: Proven experience leading enterprise-level IT systems development and sustainment for the Federal government.
+ Technical Skills: Hands-on experience in software sustainment, IT modernization, or IT project management.
+ Certification: Certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP is required.
+ Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with FEMA or DHS.
+ Knowledge of federal IT compliance and governance standards.
+ Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in IT modernization.

Candidates must have strong technical abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a teamwork emphasis.The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a national agency check and background investigation after hire to obtain a badge for facility access and user accounts.STANDARD KBR REQUIREMENTS:
