**Investment Banking Overview**
Bank of America’s Investment Banking team is dedicated to understanding the unique competitive and operating environments of our clients, building enduring client relationships, and executing transactions on behalf of our clients. In Canada, we are primarily organized into industry teams focused on specific sectors. These include: Metals & Mining (Toronto), Consumer & Retail (Toronto), Diversified Industries (Toronto), Media & Telecom (Montreal & Toronto), Quebec-based clients (Montreal), and Energy & Power (Calgary).

**Job Description**
Toronto Analysts work as generalists across various industry groups, where they help orchestrate strategic advisory and capital markets transactions. Bank of America's Canadian offices offer candidates an opportunity to gain valuable hands-on analytical experience working for a top tier global investment bank.
This role is responsible for performing financial and statistical analyses, conducting research, preparing support documentation, and client presentation materials. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining complex financial models and performing various financial analyses including valuations and merger consequences.
**Responsibilities**
+ Partners with Associates and Vice Presidents to build financial models, prepare client presentations, and perform a variety of tasks related to the transaction cycle
+ Supports origination efforts, evaluation of new opportunities, and execution of deals, working on a broad scope of assignments and products across multiple sectors
+ Serves as a key resource working closely with Associates, Vice Presidents, and Relationship Managers to create client deliverables and respond to client requests
+ Performs industry and company research to support business development and ad-hoc requests
+ Assists in coordinating and executing information in collaboration with product groups
+ Conducting comprehensive industry and company-specific research
+ Managing several projects at once and working effectively as an individual and as part of a team
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree with outstanding academic achievement
+ Recent graduate with 1 year of investment banking, corporate finance, M&A, modelling/valuation or consulting experience
+ Strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail and client focus
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
+ Strategic and creative thinking; distinguished written and verbal communications skills
+ Assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic and team focus
+ Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities
+ Dedication to building a career in the investment banking industry
