Ports have many electrical consumers, such as Ship-to-Shore Cranes, Stacking Cranes, Reefer sockets, Shore Power, electric vehicles, and buildings. Within our team, we design and build electrical and automation infrastructure to provide reliable and sustainable power to our customers, enabling them to handle containers efficiently. Our scope includes Medium Voltage Substations, SCADA systems, Terminal Lighting, Reefer racks and their electrical systems, Electrical Vehicle charging infrastructure, and Grid Connection substations, among others.Our core products are prefabricated substations built in our facilities in Panama. These substations are fully tested and commissioned before they arrive at the construction site. These substations include medium-voltage switchgear, transformers, low-voltage switchgear, UPS, DC systems, SCADA, Fire Alarms, and climate control systems. Our project locations span the globe, covering the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Latin America. They typically take around 24 months to complete. Safety and Integrity are part of our DNA throughout the project lifecycle.We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to join our project team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all materials and equipment used within the project. You’ll play a key role in keeping our supply chain on track by maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring timely availability of resources from around the world.What you’ll do:•\tManage the inventory of all materials and equipment for the project.•\tKeep detailed and up-to-date lists and records of incoming and outgoing materials.•\tRegister all materials required for the project in a clear and structured way.•\tMonitor stock levels and flag shortages or missing items in time.•\tInvestigate and report issues such as discrepancies or delays in material deliveries.•\tEnsure materials are used properly and remain in good condition throughout the project.•\tWork within set budgets for materials and assist in efficient resource planning.•\tAssist with measurements and inspections of certain equipment.•\tSupport warehouse activities as needed.About Our Business: When you join our team at ABB Marine & Ports in Ports Electrification, you become part of a global effort to drive sustainability and decarbonization in the Ports industry. Qualifications for the role\tStrong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and inventory tracking tools.\tA tidy, accurate, and well-organized working style.\tGood communication and problem-solving skills.\tForklift certification or willingness to obtain one.\tPrevious experience in inventory management or logistics is a plus.\tAbility to work independently and take initiative.
