Position Summary
Intern 3 months - Ottawa, Canada Hybrid
This role will design physical and virtual cloud products. The Intern UX Designer support the migration of existing UX designs from Axure RP to Figma.
This role will contribute to the evolution of UX at Thales across the world. The ideal candidate will be excited about designing and enjoy the challenge of managing the design lifecycle of wide variety of products on a global market scale.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Migrate existing designs from Axure RP to Figma.
Suggest solutions to problems that advance company initiatives.
Create sketches, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes for product features.
Understand our products and features and advocate for best solutions.
Work as a part of an Agile team to incrementally deliver value for the users of our products.
Minimum Qualifications
Current enrollment in a degree and/ or diploma in product design related disciplines such as Product Design, UX, Visual Design, Interaction Design, Human Interface Technologies, User Experience and Customer-Centered Design, Human Psychology, Other design or front-end-development-related education.
Interest in all major product design areas: Usability research; Ideation workshops; Solution design; Prototyping; UX testing.
Working knowledge of industry leading design tools such as: Figma, Axure, Miro.
Working knowledge in building user journey maps and service maps.
Based on the global nature of the business the position may require semi-regular interaction with international colleagues at unconventional hours.
