The Fluid Systems Division in Irvine, CA is calling all aspiring Finance and Accounting professionals! This is your chance to sharpen your analytical skills and tackle real-world challenges as a part-time Finance/Accounting intern. You’ll assist with financial reporting, accounts payable, and general accounting tasks while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: + Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. + Support the accounts payable process by reviewing invoices, processing payments, and reconciling discrepancies. + Help maintain the general ledger by posting journal entries and assisting with month-end closing activities. + Conduct research and analysis to support budgeting and forecasting efforts, including variance analysis. + Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial data entry and reporting. + Participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting information as required. + Become familiar with applicable federal and state regulations affecting financial reporting and accounting practices. + Complete paperwork as required, including expense reports and reconciliation forms. + Take responsibility for the quality and accuracy of your work and comply with all company procedures and policies. Education: + Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Skills: + Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. + Strong written and verbal communication skills. + Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills. + Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. + Willingness to learn and take initiative. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations.
