As a Valve Instrument Engineering Lab Technician, you will be responsible for:

Assembling, configuring, and calibrating test equipment, valves, positioners, and other control valve instrumentation.Performing documented test procedures using defined testing processes.Working independently while collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, and other lab/V&V staff to complete complex projects on schedule.Compiling, analyzing, and interpreting results, presenting and evaluating results with our internal and external customers.Staying compliant with our operations manual and Baker Hughes HSE policies.Communicating project and work status to program leadership and management.


Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a high school diploma or equivalent, with specialized vocational training or an associate degree with 8+ years of experience. Could also have a university degree with 5+ years of experience.Have experience with and understanding of basic circuitry and schematics for electronics as well as expertise with equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.  An ability to solder and work with resistors and potentiometers is essential.Experience with control valves and control valve instrumentation is a plus.Have skills and experience using drills, wrenches, and dremels to modify parts.Have advanced problem-solving, analytical, and computer skills.Have a strong desire to learn and a willingness to think outside the box.
